The Iron Daughter - Julie Kagawa There are some things I don't particularly like about this book, like the whole love triangle aspect. It's like, she doesn't think the story is interesting enough on its own, we have to have all this romantic angst? That's why I like Harry Potter so much--there's hardly any of that stuff and if you removed it you would still have the same solid story, minus a few pages. Meghan devotes so much thought and action to Ash and it's just mildly annoying. I also didn't like the whole, "oh I don't need my powers because I have YOU" line. I was really happy when she got the iron glamour but I that just rubbed me the wrong way. HOWEVER. The books are so plot driven and fun to read and I can't put them down and the fight scenes especially. So, yeah, five stars despite my complaints because I JUST LOVED IT
