A Prayer for Owen Meany - John Irving My mom bought this book for me and made me promise I'd read it. When I started it, I was a bit slow to get going with it. At first I just didn't take to it. It actually took me months to get through the first half, because I kept getting distracted by other books. I am so glad she kept pushing me to read it, though. Even between work, commuting, making food, cleaning, and paying attention to my boyfriend, I finished the last half in two days. Yeah, he's a little long winded at time, but the story was--to me--worth it, and it's not one I'll be forgetting soon.
